Hi Moritiz!
Yes, I probably should have learnt by now. But o well.
House Singing takes place at school. Our school has four houses: Shackleton, Scott, Wilson and Bowen. And every student is in a house. So each house has about 250-350 students. Throughout each year we have different house competitions like Atheletics, Swimming Sports, Chalk Art, Trivia Contest, House Singing etc... and for all of these every house has to participate. So for things like house singing, athletics, swimming sports, everyone in every house must participate and you recieve points for how well you do. For Chalk art and trivia contest and a few others your house has some representatives chosen to compete on behalf of the house.
Every house has 1 male and 1 female house captain. I am the MALE lol house captain of Shackleton. (The house nominates people, then vote who they want as captain).
So this Friday we have House Singing. So over this week we have practices which myself and Melanie (the female Shackleton captain) have to run and teach the house a song. The theme this year is New Zealand Music. So every song has to be a New Zealand song or you are disqualified. The whole house has to perform one song which this year is "Weather With You" by Neil and Tim Finn (two New Zealand artists). Then you also have to perform the school hymn which is "We Rest On Thee" (I don't expect you to have ever heard of these). Then each house has another song which between 5-20 people from that house perform chosen by the captains.
So it has been decided today that we will be doing Scribe - Dreaming (A New Zealand HIP HOP artist)

Due to the fact no-one really likes Scribe we are going to sort of make fun of him, and Hip Hop and everything just as a big joke. So we will all dress up really Hip Hop like and jump around and sing the song and attempt to breakdance and really just act like idiots. lol
So that is house singing. So on Friday 4 judges come in and judge it and by the end of Friday we will know who won the house singing. (The points get added to the total for the end of the year. The winning house at the end of the year gets the house cup)
O well, I had better go learn this song!

Yeah.
Come to think of it, it does sound a lot like Hogwarts! Sadly, we don't have flying broomsticks though. I think they would be a lot of fun.
I'm not sure who is in the lead at the moment actually. I think Shackleton (my house) is second though.

Hi everyone. Haven't been on in a while. Been really busy and not very well.
Mock exams coming up next week! Ahh :-O!! Time to start studying!
I've also been in bed the last week and a bit with a terrible migrain and the flu. Not very nice. But today I got up and went outside. First day of spring. Was 22 degrees today!
O well, I had better get back to bed. Try to get better. Talk to you all later!

The Kiwi connection is back!
After a long time of never posting I have returned. What has everyone been up to lately? It is beginning to snow down here in New Zealand which is VERY exciting! Bring on the snowboarding!
My girlfriend is having a giant cocktail party tonight which will be great fun! It starts at 6pm tonight and goes until about 5am tomorrow and there will be about 150 people there. So it is going to be GREAT fun.
I had better go get ready.

Hey moritz,
Everything in New Zealand is pretty good. I get a four day weekend because of Queen's birthday! It's quite wonderful.
I think I have a myspace account, I think I made one quite a while ago but I can't really remember. I'll have a look and try to find it and i'll make sure I add campus!
I saw the EP on the website when I logged on the other day so I was going to ask how I could listen to it, so i'll go to myspace now and take a listen!
There was a big party here on Thursday night, it was brilliant. It started at 6pm Thursday and went until 3pm Friday. I am very tired now though!
Anyway, I shall talk to you later. Off to myspace to hear the EP!

okay - here's a question. Does anyone here know any names of New Zealand bands? 'Apparently' some are quite well known overseas - at least that's what we're told! Although I somehow doubt it.
If anyone knows any NZ bands or singers. I will be very impressed. Post if you do! Otherwise I'll have to start to educate everyone in NZ music.

Hi Jeremy!
That's a great idea to tell us about NZ bands! I must admit I don't know very much about the music scene down there :-). I think The Datsuns are from New Zealand, and Crowded House, too, but they also might be from Australia - I'm not sure.
What do you think about the new Campus EP?

Hey!
Haven't been on in ages. Loving the new site and the new EP guys! It's really awesome! Have been listening to it quite a lot lately, but still loving Popular Music as well. Hope you all had a great Christmas and had an awesome night welcoming the new year. Had a bit of a party in little old New Zealand, as it's the middle of summer we felt it would be appropriate to get out the snow machine, so we got the snow machine and filled the garden with snow and had a giant party. Was totally sweet! Anyways - have a great '07 and I shall try to be back online soon and drop you a line. Martin - will probably drop you an e-mail in the next couple of days to say hi.
